REVIEW: theBalm Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer

Hello hello! I’ve been desperate for some new highlighter for way too long now. I have just been using the highlighter in my Urban Decay Flushed Palette which I absolutely loved but it ran out so so quickly.

So, when it comes to buying new make up, I always consult my friends to see what they’re using and what they would recommend. So when it came to asking them about their favourite highlighters, my friend couldn’t recommend theBalm Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer enough. To be honest, I’d never actually heard of this brand but I’m always up trying out new ones.

The great thing about this highlighter is that you can apply it as subtally or as striking as you like, depending on the occassion. I tend to put a touch on my cheeks and the tip of my nose day-to-day and much heavier amounts on a night out on my cheeks, nose, forehead and chin to create more of a glow. I also pop it on as an eyeshadow. Again, it can be as subtle or and striking as you like. I tend to go for the more natural look so I just apply a little shimmer to make my eyes more of a focal point.

I also love the packaging of this product. It’s so compact and the mirror is slightly magnifying, making it perfect for more accurate application. It is much clearer than the mirror provided on the Naked Flushed Palette, for example.

After shopping around a little, I managed to get hold of mine for just Β£16.00 from feelunique.com, which I didn’t think was too bad in comparison to some others I was looking at, such as Dandelion Twinkle Powder Highlighter by Benefit Cosmetics, priced at Β£24.50.

I’m really impressed with this brand and I’m really intrigued to try out some more of their products.

Have you tried Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer yet or any other theBalm products?
